AUS establishes Center for Executive and Professional Education
To meet growing regional demand, AUS has announced the establishment of the Center for Executive and Professional Education (CEPE). The center draws on expertise from across the university’s four colleges, and its strength and uniqueness come from the 365 expert faculty members, transferring knowledge from the university to the wider community.
The center has already begun delivering customized programs to organizational clients, partnering with organizations in the region to develop capacity in the fields of leadership, change and transformation, strategic planning and business development. A schedule of open enrollment courses is also planned, due to be launched in the latter half of 2018. These courses will provide ambitious individuals in the region with access to world-class career development relevant to their specific industry or profession.
According to the Director of CEPE, Dr. Ilias Visvikis, it is the combination of global experience and local knowledge that makes CEPE programs and courses have such a powerful impact on participants. He says:
“As any business leader in the Middle East knows, this region is unlike any other in the way business is done, along with the challenges and opportunities faced by the corporate world. We are keenly aware of this and sure that all our programs and courses rely on the best and latest international theory, but are also informed by culturally relevant and specific knowledge. Our programs are created and delivered by the AUS expert faculty members, many of whom have had attained their qualifications from the world’s leading institutions. However, our faculty also have deep knowledge and experience of this region, allowing them to shape the delivery of executive and professional education in a way that has the greatest impact and meaning for our clients.”
