Executive and Continuing Education Manager | Executive and Professional Education
Position Summary
To ensure the efficient operation and strategic development of the Executive and Professional Education department at the American University of Sharjah. This role involves supporting daily operations, managing programs, and engaging with stakeholders to uphold quality and compliance standards. The Manager will also assist the Executive Director with administrative tasks and play a crucial role in the department's growth and future leadership initiatives, facilitating collaboration and contributing to strategic goals.
Job Responsibilities
- Operational Support:
Assist in managing daily activities, including program administration, enrollment processes and event coordination.
- Administrative Support:
Provide support to the Executive Director as needed, including assisting with scheduling, correspondence, and special projects.
- Data Management & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of enrollments, program evaluations, and performance metrics; generate reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Team Collaboration & Support:
Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth program delivery and continuous improvement.
- Program Development & Management:
Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of executive and continuing education programs, ensuring alignment with university standards and industry needs.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as a primary liaison for faculty, industry partners, students and internal university departments.
- Future Growth & Leadership:
As the department expands, take on additional responsibilities such as supervising staff, developing new programs, and contributing to strategic planning.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in education management, program administration, or related fields.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effectively engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and manage operational activities efficiently.
- Proven problem-solving abilities to quickly identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, including developing and executing initiatives for program growth.
- Skilled in building relationships, negotiating, and representing the department in a professional manner.
- Adaptable and flexible to manage evolving responsibilities as the department expands.
