Integrating Electronic Marking and Rubrics using iLearn (November 2013)
This presentation is intended to teach faculty how to provide prompt and effective feedback to their students using iLearn's electronic comments/feedback feature in combination with online rubrics. Attendees will learn how to create assignments that display electronic comments. They will then learn how to set up rubrics within iLearn that use the click, click, save method. Instructors can simply attach an electronic rubric, click the required columns/categories, and then hit save. The purpose of this presentation is to help instructors provide prompt feedback to their students without the hassle of paperwork and manual calculations. Online marking and rubrics facilitate grading by providing quick, easy feedback that can be tailored to any course in any discipline. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own laptops.
