To celebrate UN Arabic Language Day, the Department of Arabic and Translation Studies invites students to participate in this workshop
It has been well said that what will remain of the Arabs in the end is to be found, firstly, in the Qura'n, secondly, in pre-Islamic poetry, and finally, in calligraphy and architecture...Abdelkebir Khatibi, The Splendor of Islamic Calligraphy (2001)
Mr. Khalid al-Jallaf, an Emirati calligraphist and the editor of Majalat Huruf in Nadwat al-Thaqafa wa al-Funun, will run the workshop.
