HSE and Sustainability Management in Du and the UAE (May 2018)
Two representatives from Du’s Health Safety and Environment Division will discuss management for health, safety, environment and sustainability in Du, the UAE and GCC as a guest lecture for the ENV 354 Management and Assessment of Human Impact course. We will finish with a question and answer discussion period.
Speaker: Daxita Rajcoomar, HSE Compliance Senior Manager, Corporate Services, du. Rajcoomar’s career started in the field of occupational health and safety and environmental management in 2001 for a telecom/facility management organization in South Africa. In 2006 she headed up the Occupational Hygiene and Environmental Departments for Dekra Norisko Industrial South Africa. Her specialties entailed occupational hygiene that closely measured the impacts of lighting, noise, ergonomics and air quality measurements (IAQ), as well as waste and water management. Rajcoomar joined du in 2008, where she is the Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance Senior Manager. As a certified LEED: AP and Chief Sustainability Officer, this has set the tone by applying best practice sustainability initiatives that create an optimal working environment for its staff.
