School of Business and Management holds awareness week
The School of Business and Management (SBM) at AUS is holding its SBM Awareness Week April 21-25. The event allows students to meet with their trained peers for a one-on-one advising session about courses and careers.
A highlight of the event was the Awareness Day held on April 23. The event included information sessions, advising, student clubs, as well as an award ceremony for SBM professors. Some of the participating student clubs included the Entrepreneurship Club, Marketing Club, Finance Club, Economics Club, Business Management Club, Beta Gamma Sigma, MBA Club, SBM Career Club and the Management Information Systems Club. During the day, Tim Horton's and Cold Stone Creamery served refreshments to the attendees.
"The SBM Awareness Day is really good. They're focusing on people's careers," said Menaka Gangwani, a junior student majoring in management.
"Seeing all the professors around here is great. I think it's a great thing to have these kinds of events," said Hussain Abdul Razzaq, a sophomore student majoring in marketing.
The event was organized in collaboration with the Dean's Business Team and the AUS Student Council, Office of Student Affairs.
