Scores of high school students visit AUS on Exploration Day
Scores of students from high schools across the region interested in applying to or admitted to American University of Sharjah (AUS) visited the university to explore its vibrant, multicultural campus at the Fall 2017 Exploration Day held recently on campus.
Organized by the AUS Office of Enrollment Management (OEM), the students were welcomed on campus by Ali Shuhaimy, Executive Director of Enrollment Management. "I would like to welcome you to AUS. The purpose of this event is to get people who are not familiar with AUS to have a first-hand experience about the university and to visit different facilities here as well as to have the opportunity to ask any questions they might have about studying at this institution," he said.
Dr. Leland Blank, Interim Provost and Chief Academic Officer at AUS also welcomed the students and urged them to expand their knowledge on the university's multicultural educational environment.
A team from the Student Leadership Program took the visiting students to the library, sports complex, student center and the four different colleges and school at AUS.
AUS will continue to hold Fall 2017 Exploration Day during the month of May, namely on Thursday, May 11 and Thursday, May 18, 2017.
