Domesti(C)ity: Architecture, Urbanism and Hybrid Densities (November 2025)
This talk will feature recent design work from HTL Africa and novel approaches to urbanism in rapidly developing regions.
About the speaker 
James Inedu George is an internationally practicing architect and 2017 Rolex Mentor and Protégé nominee known for integrating African cultural narratives into contemporary architecture. He has lectured at institutions such as the University of Pennsylvania and contributed to global exhibitions including the Venice Biennale and FRAC Biennale. Founder of HTL Africa and HTL Asia+ in Dubai, his firm focuses on developing sustainable architectural systems inspired by ancient Arab and African cities. His notable works include the globally recognized “Affordacity” concept and the Pan African Heritage Museum in Ghana. He is also the designer of UPPER+, a vertical park system that purifies air, harvests wind and solar energy, and redefines urban environmental performance.
