INTERNAL FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES

Faculty Research Grant (FRG) Program: AUS supports innovative scholarship through research and creative works. The FRG program provides support to the AUS Research Agenda to encourage AUS faculty to further their scholarly work through external and competitively evaluated scholarly projects. The program intends to support scholarly work ranging from research in engineering, sciences and mathematics, social sciences, business, humanities, to creative works in artistic and design disciplines. This scholarly support is paramount in fostering a productive and well-balanced society of creative and capable thinkers. AUS has three sizes of FRG support, ranging from two to four years.

Undergraduate Research Grant (URG) Program: This program encourages AUS undergraduate students from all disciplines to participate in independent research and scholarly/creative projects under the mentorship of AUS faculty. The research and scholarly/creative activities conducted by students generally take diverse forms, such as independent study, work on a thesis and/or engaging in part of a larger ongoing study under the supervision of a faculty member.

Open Access Program (OAP): A limited pilot program is being established to assist faculty should they decide to publish their papers in journals that are of high quality and allow open access.
