All admitted applicants are required to sit for major placement tests to be able to register for freshman-level courses. The purpose of the tests is to place students in the appropriate level of English, math and physics. Students who don't have TOEFL/IELTS scores may register for math and physics placement tests as required by their intended majors. However, students who don't have TOEFL/IELTS scores are not allowed to register for the English placement test. Click here for more information on our placement tests.
Registration for classes takes place after placement tests are over. Advisors are available to register students and guide them. The complete process will be explained during the academic orientation session. Be sure to attend this session and follow the instructions provided to avoid confusion and frustration. Students who complete their files at the Office of Enrollment Management will receive a registration pass by email to register for classes in their respective college or school. For a general listing of courses and course descriptions, please refer to the Undergraduate Catalog.
Applicants who wish to change their major to a different program, can request a change of major from apply.aus.edu (go to My Account / My Applications / Choose your active application / Click View/ Scroll down to Program Change Request).
Once an application decision is changed to Admitted by Office of Admissions, you will not be able to make changes to your application. In such case, applicants need to submit a new application.
If you need more information or assistance, please contact us on infodesk.
Deferring of submitted applications can be requested by the applicant on apply.aus.edu (go to My Account / My Applications / Choose your active application / Click View/ Scroll down to Deferral Request).

UAE citizens attending compulsory military service may defer their application to the next academic year.
