Senior Multimedia Designer and Producer | School of Business Administration
Position Summary
The Senior Multimedia Designer and Producer leads the planning, production, and delivery of high-quality multimedia content to support the School of Business Administration’s instructional, promotional, and strategic initiatives for online education. This role combines creative direction with hands-on production expertise, ensuring that video, audio, and digital media projects are executed to educational standards. The position also provides technical leadership in studio and field production, mentors faculty and staff on production techniques, and contributes to advancing SBA’s digital presence by producing content that related to online courses and contributing to digital promotions.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, film, and produce multimedia content for instructional materials, faculty presentations, online modules, promotional campaigns, and major school events.
- Manage the entire production cycle, from concept development and pre-production planning to filming, editing, and final delivery.
- Direct and oversee multi-camera productions, ensuring technical precision, creative storytelling, and strong production value.
- Edit and finalize video, audio, and graphic elements to meet institutional standards for quality, accessibility, and brand consistency.
- Collaborate with instructional designers, faculty, and administrators to transform academic content into engaging, audience-focused multimedia presentations.
- Provide creative input on scripts, storyboards, and visual treatments to enhance clarity and impact.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot professional video, audio, lighting, and editing systems in both studio and field environments.
- Calibrate and manage multi-camera setups, ensuring image quality, consistent color, and seamless transitions during live and recorded sessions.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies, workflows, and equipment to expand SBA’s multimedia production capabilities.
- Provide mentorship and training to faculty, staff, and junior technicians on production techniques, equipment usage, and best practices.
- Establish and document production workflows, technical guidelines, and quality control processes to enhance efficiency and consistency.
- Produce short form, engaging content (videos, reels, motion graphics) tailored for SBA’s social media platforms.
- Collaborate with the social media & Event Coordinator to integrate multimedia content into broader campaigns without overlapping responsibilities.
- Attend online classes as needed for the trouble shooting purposes.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia, Digital Media, Film Production, or a related field.
- Proven experience in digital media production within higher education or corporate environments.
- Familiarity with e-learning platforms and integrating multimedia content into Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Advanced proficiency in industry-standard editing and design tools, including Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop) or equivalent software.
- Experience in creating and optimizing content for social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in video production, editing, and managing studio operations.
- Strong technical expertise in video and audio production systems, including operation of digital cameras, switchers, graphics systems, signal routing, encoding, embedding, and compression workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges in fast-paced production environments.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the capacity to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset, excellent communication abilities, and a creative approach to problem-solving.
