Position Summary
The Student Athletics and Recreation Department is currently seeking an active Female Fitness Trainer/Facility Supervisor will guide and inspire AUS Students in achieving their fitness goals by leading engaging and effective Fitness classes and supervise SARD facilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and instruction to participants on proper use of exercise machines and weights.
- Conduct fitness assessments to evaluate participants' current fitness levels.
- Develop personalized exercise programs and dietary plans based on individual needs and goals.
- Assess participants' needs and abilities to prescribe suitable exercise routines.
- Lead and organize group exercise classes including aerobics and circuit training sessions for AUS students.
- Offer advice on nutrition and exercise techniques to optimize results and prevent injuries.
- Motivate and encourage student participation in fitness programs.
- Plan and execute health and fitness awareness campaigns and promotions.
- Coordinate maintenance requests for fitness center equipment and machines.
- Maintain a safe and well-organized fitness center environment.
- Supervise and train female AUS-related teams during intercollegiate tournaments.
- Educate and promote fitness programs to female students as required.
- Monitor and report any violations of campus codes of conduct.
- Prepare monthly reports on disciplinary issues, team progress, and sports events.
- Ensure safe and appropriate operation of sports facilities during operating hours.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Respond to injuries and provide immediate first aid when necessary.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- 4 years of experience in the fitness industry.
- Certified Fitness Instructor, it is essential that the candidate holds a valid personal trainer certificate, demonstrating proficiency in designing and implementing personalized fitness programs for clients.
- The ideal candidate should be certified in group exercise formats such as Aerobics, Zumba, Aqua fitness, or similar, enabling them to lead dynamic and engaging group fitness classes.
- Ability to communicate with the participants in English (Arabic preferable), basic computer knowledge and ability to supervise fitness classes to maintain discipline and safety of participants.
- The role requires the selected candidate to work from 1 pm to 10 pm during weekdays.
- Ability to work under pressure and late hours on weekends and whenever required.
- Flexible in the work schedule and assignments (available to work late shifts).
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in physical education and sports.
- Experience in coaching in clubs/higher education institutions.
- Knowledge of basic First Aid.
