American University of Sharjah (AUS) will host thesixth annual conference of the Arab Forum for Environment and Development(AFED) from Oct. 28-29. 

The conference will cover topics including renewable energy prospects, futureof nuclear energy, energy efficiency, mitigation options of climate change andthe role of the private sector in financing energy supply.

The theme of this year's conference will be sustainable energy in Arabcountries, based on a comprehensive report prepared by the AFED on the subject.
