Omar S. Ghobash
His Excellency Omar S. Ghobash is Advisor to the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Holy See, a position he has held since 2022.
He previously served as the UAE Ambassador to Russia from 2008 to 2017, with concurrent accreditation to Ukraine, and as the UAE Ambassador to France from 2017 to 2018. These postings provided him with extensive diplomatic experience across the Gulf, Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States.
He is the author of Letters to a Young Muslim. He also lectures on Islamic jurisprudence, comparative religious ethics and artificial intelligence governance. His wider interests include legal theory, geopolitics, geoeconomics, financial services, distressed assets and industry.
