American University of Sharjah invites applications for full-time faculty in psychology, starting August 2022. As an American-accredited institution in the liberal arts tradition, we seek candidates with a passion for both teaching and research in any area of specialization to join our faculty.
Successful candidates will have a PhD in psychology or a closely-related field, and professional experience reflecting strong commitments to teaching and research. As a university formed on the American model, with English as the language of instruction, we give priority to candidates who have experience in American models of higher education.
Our new undergraduate program in psychology has exceeded its projected enrollments with three highly motivated student cohorts. The program hosts dedicated lab spaces, specialized software and hardware, a research participation pool, and support services such as Sona Systems. Our psychology faculty regularly publish in peer-reviewed journals, have won internal and external competitive grants, and integrate undergraduates into their lab activities.

Please submit these two documents in PDF format through https://acg-apps1.aus.edu/cas/empapp/apply.php?p=INT-21-08.
