Basil M. Darras was a post-doctoral scholar in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Kentucky. His areas of research and teaching interest are solid mechanics, manufacturing processes and materials processing. He is also a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and the Minerals, Metals and Materials Society (TMS).
