Marwa Soliman

Assistant Professor
PhD, University of Ottawa, Canada

Marwa Soliman is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the American University of Sharjah. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Ottawa, Canada. She has been a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) since 2012. Her research interests include narrative disclosure, disclosure quality, corporate governance, and executive characteristics. Marwa’s doctoral dissertation received first place in the National Capital Region thesis competition and was nominated for the University of Ottawa’s Best Dissertation Award in the Social Sciences. Her research has been published in top journals such as The Accounting Review (TAR) and the International Review of Financial Analysis (IRFA).
