On-Campus Student Employment Fair
The On-Campus Student Employment Fair is a platform for students and AUS departments to interact and discuss the various job opportunities on campus. Students attending the fair will be able to network and talk directly to AUS departments to learn about job opportunities at AUS, learn how to promote themselves to potential employers, and understand which skills and experiences increase their chances of securing employment. Watch out for an announcement for the upcoming On-Campus Student Employment Fair.
Training And Workshops
The employment office offers training and workshops to students that equip them with the knowledge and requisite skills that help them perform better in their jobs and promote their personal and professional development. In conjunction with the relevant AUS departments, the employment office offers the following training and workshops (subject to change depending on the training needs of students):
Student Onboarding
All students hired for an on-campus job are required to attend a mandatory orientation session. This prepares students for their roles and equips them with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in their positions while maintaining compliance with university policies.
During the orientation, students will receive guidance and training on workplace conduct, timesheet procedures and confidentiality agreements.
CV Writing Workshop
In the CV Writing Workshop, students will be taught how to write an appealing CV that effectively presents their education, skills, experiences and accomplishments to potential employers. Students will learn how to highlight and align their capabilities to what is being required for the job opening.
