AUS faculty member performs at Wilfred Laurier University in Canada
Dr. Leopoldo Erice, pianist and an assistant professor in the Performing Arts Program at American University of Sharjah (AUS), recently held two performances at the Wilfrid Laurier University (WLU) in Canada. The events were held as part of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between AUS and WLU last year.
The performances included a solo piano recital and a chamber music gala concert, the latter organized in collaboration with the Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber Music Society.
"It was a privilege to be included in WLU's concert calendar and to share the stage with such great artists at the gala event," said Dr. Erice. "It is an honor to represent AUS as part of the agreement between our two universities. I look forward to continue being an ambassador for AUS and sincerely hope that we can take students along in the near future," he added.
Dr. Max Blouw, President and Vice-Chancellor of WLU, and Dr. Glen Carruthers, Dean of the Faculty of Music, WLU, were among the audience members present at the events.
