General Practitioner-Part Time | University Health Services (UHS)

The General Practitioner will provide primary care services within the scope of licensing and training including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care, and health maintenance to patients abiding by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) guidelines and UHS policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct consultations, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic illnesses in an outpatient setting, as well as after working hours emergency services.
- Provide routine health check-ups, vaccinations, and preventive healthcare services.
- Offer medical advice on lifestyle, mental well-being, and chronic disease management.
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans in compliance with medical guidelines using the EMR system.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic procedures.
- Refer patients to specialists when needed and coordinate their care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records by confidentiality policies.
- Educate patients about health promotion and disease prevention.
- Participate in university health initiatives, awareness programs, and wellness campaigns.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, counselors, and administrative staff.
- Stay updated with medical advancements and participate in continuous professional development.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Bachelor of Medicine (MB) or Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
- Valid MOHAP license.
- Valid ACLS certification.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in occupational health and general practice medicine.
- Experience in deputizing for and covering management duties.
- Very good command of spoken and written English and Arabic.
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure and outside regular working hours when required.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and EMR systems.
- UAE driving license is an advantage.
