Master of Business Administration

Faycal Al Alami described the network of friends and connections he established during his year-and-a-half in the MBA program as one of the most cherished experiences he had.

“It was one of the best aspects of the program. I got to meet many people and build solid relationships that I know will last,” he said.

Coming from an engineering background, Al Alami worked as a research assistant during his MBA studies with George Christodoulides, Professor in Marketing and Information Systems and Chalhoub Professor in Luxury Brand Management at AUS.

“Because of my background, I was used to quantitative research. However, while working with Dr. Christodoulides, I worked mainly on qualitative research and built a better understanding of this research methodology. This assistantship also taught me a lot about document management and strengthened my research skills in all aspects,” he said.

The analysis he conducted with his team during one of the courses on real estate in Dubai is one of Al Alami’s most successful and favorite projects.

“The professor encouraged us to publish the paper, and it was featured in the Economist Diwan journal at AUS,” he said.

Now that he is graduating, Al Alami is looking forward to building a name for himself in the industry.

During his studies and research work, Al Alami joined a company in Dubai as a Business Analyst intern. Two months ago, he started working full-time after finishing the requirements for his MBA.

“The MBA helped a lot in securing this job and I look forward to gaining more experience and building my career,” he said.
