TEST STRUCTURE
Paper Based IELTS has four modules: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. The total test time is 2 hours and 45 minutes. The Listening, Reading and Writing tests are done in one sitting while the Speaking test may be on the same day or up to seven days before or after the other tests. You will be advised of the time for your speaking interview when you apply.
If you choose Computer Delivered IELTS, you will take the Listening, Reading and Writing sections on a computer. The Speaking test will remain face to face with a trained IELTS Examiner.

The test fee for Paper based IELTS is AED 1130 (tax included).
The test fee for Computer Delivered IELTS is AED 1260 (tax included).
On the day of the test, you must present your original, valid passport; or UAE National ID for identification purposes only. Please note that you will not be allowed to enter the exam hall without original ID that you used during your registration.

Applicants must attain a minimum score of 6.5 or above on IELTS Indicator academic version for undergraduate and graduate admission.
To verify your IELTS Indicator / IELTS score, please submit a copy of your score report to infodesk.aus.edu. If the score report is not available, fill out and submit the IELTS Verification form, which is available here.
You can preview the Paper based results online 13 days and Computer Delivered results 3-5 days after the main test day. You can also receive your result by SMS if you complete the form given to you on your test date.
Students can order for additional original copies (up to a maximum of five) of test report forms to be posted to receiving institutions. Please contact British Council customer services points to place a request. These copies are sent free of charge if applied for within four weeks from the results publishing date. However, for secure and faster delivery, additional courier charges may apply.
