Corporate Partners

Home  >  About  >  Partners and Community  >  Corporate Partnerships  >  Corporate Partners

AUS contributes to the development of its external environment by building mutually productive and sustainable strategic relations with key partners and stakeholders. It also provides cultural, educational, and research and development opportunities and collaborations.

These include agreements through which AUS provides workshops, training, research, consulting expertise and agreements through which institutions and businesses offer our students internship opportunities or provide guest lecturers.

We also have agreements with other academic institutions to foster student exchanges, support faculty research/scholarly activity collaborations and provide cross-cultural communication opportunities.

Employers

For five consecutive years, AUS has ranked among the top 10 universities in the Arab world (QS). It is also home to around 5,000 students and over 15,000 alumni (and growing) who represent approximately 100 nationalities. The employability rate of our graduates stands at 88 percent, as per a recent graduate survey, reflecting a high-level of the job market's demand and confidence in them.

The Office of Advancement and Alumni Affairs (OAAA) works closely with the academic units at AUS to engage with employers in order to address industry hiring needs through the placement of our students and graduates. Recruiters are always welcome to promote their available internship and employment opportunities, at no-cost, through the university's Online Career Portal.

OAAA also supports recruiters with the success of their employer branding activities aimed at directly engaging AUS students and alumni. Some of the career activities that take place on campus include the annual career forum and fair, job search preparation days, company informational sessions, speaking engagements, recruitment assessment centers, case-study based competitions, CV clinics and other career-related workshops.

Research

The Office of Research links corporate entities and commercial enterprises with our academic units. This connection enables industries to find solutions to their specific industry problems through reliable and advanced research conducted at one of the most dynamic campuses in the entire region.

Through our outreach efforts, the university's world-class faculty, schools and laboratories can effectively identify and study the market problem presented as well as offer the best and most reliable solution and/or recommendation.

Through this mutually beneficial partnership, corporations and businesses have found that high marginal returns are possible through relatively low-cost but innovative solutions.

AUS Executive Education

AUS Executive Education brings training opportunities to individuals and corporations. It organizes and promotes a variety of professional development, capacity-building and executive continuing education programs available at AUS. OAAA also supports AUS alumni-owned businesses by promoting them.

On-Campus Marketing and Promotional Activities

As part of the university’s strategic direction to build mutually beneficial external relationships, American University of Sharjah recognizes the benefits for its advancement efforts by way of allowing public and private sector entities to carry out appropriate campaigns that promote brands, products and/or services on campus. AUS has adopted a policy applicable to the offering of such promotion campaigns, which are evaluated by the university's Office of Advancement and Alumni Affairs in coordination with campus partners.

The university has the right and will refuse requests to conduct on-campus promotions that it considers unacceptable. A promotion will be considered unacceptable when it:

  • conflicts with the university’s mission, or any of its approved policies
  • adversely affects the university’s reputation
  • appears to create an endorsement by the university of a particular company, product, political candidate or position that conflicts with public policies, or adversely affects the university’s image or its reputation
  • is considered to contain obscene, indecent, culturally sensitive or profane material
  • ridicules, exploits or demeans persons on the basis of their age, color, disability, national origin, race, religion or sex
  • promotes alcohol, tobacco, cosmetic procedures, skin-color alteration products and/or drugs products

All requests for carrying out marketing and promotional activities on-campus are to be sent to [email protected].
