AUS Testing Center serves as a central point of testing for both AUS campus and the community. The center administers placement tests for newly admitted AUS students, external exams, and facilitates general university testing.
To accommodate students who do not currently have access to the TOEFL iBT, IELTS Academic, or EmSAT, AUS will accept the following English language proficiency tests from applicants for Spring 2021 semester:

The center is an authorized Prometric Test Center, a Pearson VUE® authorized Test Center (PVTC Select) and is part of the ETS Strategic Testing Network, College Board, Amideast and British Council.
The center offers internationally recognized tests, placement tests and vocational tests. In addition, the center offers proctoring services for external tests, such as with distance-learning examinations.
The offered tests include: Internet-Based TOEFL, Institutional paper-based TOEFL; IELTS English Language Test; CD IELTS (Computer Delivered International English Language Testing System; SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test); Test of Written English TWE; Test of English for International Communication TOEIC; Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE); Principles and Practice of Engineering Exam (PE); MBA Admission Test; ICAEW - CFAB Exam; ADC (Australian Dental Council) Exam; Kaplan QLTS Exam; Federation RCP (Royal College of Physicians) Exam.
Facilities include a 300-desk hall for paper-based tests, a smaller testing facility with 50 desks for paper-based tests, and 2 computer labs with a capacity of 25 desks each for Internet-based testing. All testing halls are sound-proof and have a built-in audio system. The computer labs and small testing hall have a glassed-in proctor's room and parabolic mirrors to meet the standards required for international testing regulations. Access to the center and examination halls is friendly to people with special needs (wide elevator, ramp, wide doors).
