Dr. Almaz Jalilov research focused on the application of physical chemistry principles in materials science, particularly in carbon nanotechnology and catalysis for sustainable energy and environment. One aspect of our work is to develop new carbon-based nanomaterials from molecular precursors or petroleum waste for applications that will result in more efficient and affordable industrial processes. He obtained his training at Russian Academy of Sciences (BS, 2005), the University of Wisconsin-Madison (PhD, 2011), Northwestern University (Postdoc, 2013), and Rice University (Research Associate, 2016).
