My current research areas include: • Conversion of waste biomass to adsorbent materials for the removal of heavy metals, pesticides and organic pollutants in water.• Analysis and health risk assessments of organic and inorganic pollutants in environmental compartments such as water, food, sediments and fish. • Photo-decomposition of toxic pollutants such as dioxins and furans and their relative toxicity measurements. • Sustainability and pollution assessments of UAE local environments.
