ADNOC trainees complete AUS English outreach program
The Achievement Academy Outreach Program at American University of Sharjah (AUS) recently held the Spring 2015 certificate ceremony for 52 ADNOC employees who completed an English program held April 12-June 17, 2015.
The trainees, who were all staff members from ADNOC Distribution, completed a 10-week, 300-hour program of English in the basic and pre-intermediate levels. The total number of trainees in the basic level was 19, while the pre-intermediate level included 33 participants.
This was the third certificate ceremony with ADNOC Distribution and was part of AUS's mission to engage fruitfully with organizations in the emirates.
Dr. Christine Grosse, Director of the Achievement Academy, spoke at the ceremony and commended the students on their hard work. "We are very excited to be here at your graduation ceremony and delighted to have this collaboration with ADNOC. We appreciate all the efforts being made to work with us and we hope that you have enjoyed your time here at AUS," she said.
Also speaking at the ceremony was Tariq Al Khanbashi, Retail Sales Department Manager at ADNOC. "This course concentrates on building the English language capabilities of our trainees to close this critical gap and to use what they learned effectively in the workplace," said Al Khanbashi.
He thanked AUS management, including Lina Hejjawi, Achievement Academy Outreach Manager at AUS, and all teachers for their professional support.
Attending the ceremony were Paula Doyle, Director of Human Resources at AUS; ADNOC trainees and instructors; and other AUS officials.
