AFCENT band rocks at AUS
American University of Sharjah (AUS) students, staff and faculty enjoyed a concert by the US Air Forces Central (AFCENT) Expeditionary Band, yesterday, April 8, in the Student Center.
Made up of dynamic musicians who perform and tour throughout the Middle East to positively promote diplomacy and outreach to host-nation communities, the band rotates several ensembles that perform a wide variety of musical styles to appeal to audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
Night Wing, the five-member, country/rock showcase group of the United States Air Force Heartland of America Band, performed contemporary and classic numbers before a packed audience.
The concert was organized by the Office of Student Affairs' Student Multicultural Learning Program, in collaboration with the Consulate General of the United States of America, Dubai.
