AUS announces new collaboration with International Coach Federation, UAE Chapter
The UAE chapter of the International Coach Federation (ICF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with American University of Sharjah (AUS). The agreement will see AUS work with coaches throughout the UAE who have been accredited by the ICF.
As the largest chapter in the region, the ICF UAE Chapter represents coaches of the highest ethical and professional standards. Supporting the personal and professional development of UAE members is at the forefront of the chapter’s mission.
Nehad Tadros, ICF UAE Chapter President, said;
“We are so proud to be working up with AUS to bring our members such wonderful new opportunities to work with major educational institutions. We are looking forward to facilitating a progressive and productive process by which both our members and AUS will benefit. The partnership with AUS is an exciting way to bring to global brands together, with a shared passion and focus to deliver best practice in our relative fields.”
Under the MOU, ICF UAE Chapter and AUS will collaborate across a number of platforms, as coaching is incorporated into several of AUS’ executive education programs. Executives undertaking executive and professional education with AUS have reported many benefits, including improved leadership skills, increased cognitive function and better emotional intelligence in the workplace. With AUS working with a large number of some of the region's most influential organizations to deliver professional and executive education, the benefits of AUS’ partnership with ICF are expected to be far-reaching.
The International Coach Federation is dedicated to advancing the coaching profession by setting high ethical standard, providing independent certification and building a worldwide network of credentialed coaches across a variety of coaching disciplines. ICF is active in representing all facets of the coaching industry including Executive, Life Vision and Enhancement, Leadership, Relationship, and Career Coaching. Its 34,000-plus members located in more than 145 countries work toward the common goal of enhancing awareness of coaching, upholding the integrity of the profession, and continually educating themselves with the newest research and practices.
Dr. Ilias Visvikis, Director of the Center for Executive and Professional Education at AUS, says;
“This agreement will see us working with some of the UAE’s most highly regarded coaches, bringing their expertise and knowledge to our programs. We are delighted by the arrangement and look forward to realizing some great achievements with the ICF UAE Chapter.”
