AUS holds charity carnival for cancer patients
The Pakistani Cultural Club at American University of Sharjah (AUS) held a Charity Carnival for Cancer Patients, yesterday, December 26 in the AUS Main Plaza. Members of the AUS community turned up to support the campaign, which was held to raise money for the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital and Trust Foundation. The biggest cancer research hospital in Pakistan, the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital is known for providing free treatment to cancer patients.
The event was held in collaboration with the Office of Student Affairs' Community Services Division, the Debate Club, the Advertising Club, the Marketing Club, the Power Hit Radio Club, the Games Club and the Business Management Club.
The event managed to raise AED 24,000 for the hospital.
