AUS holds Student Council Reunion and Appreciation Day
American University of Sharjah (AUS) held its Student Council Reunion and Appreciation Day at the Student Center on Friday, May 22, to bring together all the former contributors of the AUS Student Council and to congratulate them on their efforts.
The reunion, organized by the Office of Student Affairs, saw over 230 students gather together including members of previous Student Councils and ethnic and interest-oriented clubs that collaborated with Student Councils throughout the years. The event celebrated student achievements in playing an important part in the university's development and progress and congratulated them on their present success.
Mohammad Khamis, former AUS president of the 2006-2007 Student Council, commented on the event and said, "Being part of AUS Student Council helped me become more open to ideas and contributed to the success of my current career. I am pleased to have the chance to meet again with all the students who strive to make a difference."
The former AUS Student Council members were also presented with tokens of appreciation.
