AUS partners with Gulf Medical College and University of Sharjah for Iraqi Night
The Iraqi cultural clubs from American University of Sharjah, Gulf Medical College and University of Sharjah teamed up to host the second annual Iraqi Night on May 2, 2014. The event featured prominent Iraqi artists including famous qanoun player Furat Qaddouri, oud player Abdul Nour, and poet Shahad AlRawi, along with other talented Iraqi student performers. The night included folkloric dances in addition to a fashion show representing traditional clothes from different regions in Iraq.
The event was made successful due to the effort of Iraqi cultural clubs and the support of several important Iraqi sponsors.
