AUS signs agreement with AECOM Middle East

American University of Sharjah (AUS) signed an agreement with AECOM Middle East yesterday, November 28, 2016. The purpose of this agreement is to provide a framework of cooperation and facilitate collaboration between the parties in areas of mutual interest. AECOM Middle East is a leading engineering company.

Based on the agreement, AUS and AECOM Middle East will collaborate in research and experiments, host conferences and lectures and provide training and professional development.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Björn Kjerfve, Chancellor of AUS, and Riad Nashif, Managing Director, AECOM.

"Partnerships between AUS and private entities such as AECOM Middle East are high on our list of priorities. We hope that AECOM Middle East will benefit from these exchanges and interactions as will we from the support they will provide our faculty and students," said Dr. Kjerfve.

"We look forward to the opportunity to collaborate and cooperate with AUS and we look forward to engaging with your students and working with you," said Nashif.

Also present at the signing were Dr. Leland Blank, Interim Provost and Chief Academic Officer; Kevin Mitchell, Vice Provost for Undergraduate Affairs and Instruction; AUS deans; and Vicky Mabbott, Business Partner, Talent Management, UAE and Oman, AECOME Middle East.
