AUS student wins first place at Marami Awards
A student from American University of Sharjah (AUS) has won first place at the recently held Marami Award For Future Female Journalists 2012. Rezan Mohammed Oueiti was declared the winner of the award for her program on distinguished Arab personalities. This was announced by the Cultural and Information Office of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, Government of Sharjah.
The theme of the award this year focused on the development of new ideas for television programs. A large number of students from universities across the United Arab Emirates took part in the competition.
The award was held as part of the second session of the Forum for Female Journalists. Oueiti will be recognized along with other winners at a special reception to be held in December.
