AUS students attend Sharjah International Children’s Film Festival
Thirty-four members of the American University of Sharjah (AUS) Filmmakers Club attended the Sharjah International Children's Film Festival at Al Jawher Reception and Convention Center on October 22. The film festival promoted world cultures, peace, tolerance and global understanding of how people from different cultures, religions and backgrounds coexist.
"It was a great experience for our students to be exposed to international films and new media content for youth and children," said Dr. Moza Al Shehhi, Dean of Students. The festival was a first of its kind in the UAE and the region. It was dedicated to enhance the media literacy of children, foster their creativity and showcase the very best in filmmaking for, by and about children and young people.
The trip to the festival was organized by AUS Filmmakers Club, Office of Student Affairs.
