AUS students take part in 24-hour international Social Storm event
Twenty-three College of Architecture, Art and Design (CAAD) students from American University of Sharjah took part in Social Storm 2014, a 24-hour international activity where they worked with students in other universities around the word through the web to solve pressing social issues. The event, which took place November 21-22, saw participation from leading universities across the world.
Social Storm brought together a dynamic mix of designers, coders and business-minded individuals-an international team that worked simultaneously throughout the 24-hour period on solutions to social problems relating to primary education.
The idea behind Social Storm is to tap the potential of the many highly talented young people, who as future world leaders, try to connect and collaborate and seek innovative solutions to global social problems.
Participating universities included AUS, Loughborough University, Cape Breton University, University of Exeter,Ohio University, Chongqing University, University of Tasmania, Futures with Plymouth University and Island Sandbox.
