AUS team wins three trophies in debate championship
Students from seven universities across the UAE engaged in a parliamentary style debating with a topic "This house believes that freedom is more important than security." Among the participating universities were Skyline University College, Sharjah; New York University, Abu Dhabi; Middlesex University, Dubai; BITS Pilani, Dubai; and Murdoch University, Dubai.
"AUS emerged as the best debating team among the competing universities, instilling yet again a great sense of pride in all AUS Debate Club members," said Sahar Saeed, a finance student and president of the AUS Debate Club.
"The AUS Debate Club members have once again proven that they are among the best debaters in the intercollegiate level. Their previous and present achievements set a good example of a model student club. I congratulate our students for another accomplishment and I thank them for their hard work and efforts," said Dr. Moza Al Shehhi, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs.
