Eighteen student clubs gather for iftar
To keep the Ramadan spirit alive during the holy month, more than 300 students from 18 student-sponsored clubs from the university's Office of Student Affairs (OSA) gathered in the Student Center on June 11 for an iftar. The Annual Club Iftar was organized by the Emirati, American, Bahraini, Egyptian, French, Indian, Iranian, Iraqi, Jordanian, Lebanese, Moroccan, Pakistani, Palestinian, Philippine, Sudanese, Saudi, Syrian and Turkish cultural clubs.
According to Dr. Moza Al Shehhi, Dean of Students:
“In this year’s club iftar, we witnessed an impressive collaboration between our student clubs with a record number of 18 student clubs participating. It is heartwarming to see our students joining efforts for a worthwhile event during this holy month. They have worked together to make this gathering special and share the blessed moment with their peers. Their continued interest and consistent involvement in extracurricular activities will ensure the growth and success of student activities at AUS promoting a vibrant campus life.”
Ramadan iftars on campus are a tradition of student clubs and organizations aimed to promote the spirit of sharing and giving during the holy month of Ramadan.
