In loving memory of Professor Shoaib Nabi Ahmad

The community at American University of Sharjah is mourning the sudden death of Professor Shoaib Nabi Ahmad, a faculty member, since 2002, of the College of Architecture, Art and Design. Professor Ahmad passed away on August 19, 2013, while on a collaborative teaching assignment in Colombia.

Professor Ahmad left a remarkable contribution to AUS, where he worked as both teacher and scholar. He was a generous educator to students, colleagues, the university and the community. He was known for his inspiring lectures and thought-provoking discussions on social responsibility, and the role of design in community-building.

Professor Ahmad was deeply loved by everyone, and we will remember him for his compassion, enthusiasm and everlasting smile.

We keep Professor Ahmad and his family in our prayers, and hope that they find strength in this time of grief.
