Leopards win UoS women’s swimming competition
The American University of Sharjah (AUS) women's swimming team placed first at the University of Sharjah Union Sports Day 2015 Swimming Competition against teams from University of Sharjah and the Ajman University of Science and Technology.
Winners included Nour Attia, Cyndi Faber and Danya Khafaga, who secured first place in the 50 meter backstroke, butterfly and freestyle races, respectively. Danya Khafaga and Cyndi Faber secured second place in the 50 meter breaststroke, and freestyle, while Rawan Salah placed third in 50 meter breaststroke. In the 4x50 meter medley relay, AUS swimmers kept their archrivals, University of Sharjah, well behind and earned first place.
Dr. Moza Al Shehhi, Dean of Students, congratulated the AUS swimmers for winning the championship once again. Dr. Al Shehhi also praised the team for its consistent performances and for maintaining such a high standard, both in and out of the pool.
