Prestigious engineering exams held at AUS Testing Center
The American University of Sharjah (AUS) Testing Center has administered the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEE) exams for the second year. A total of 317 candidates, many from other Gulf countries such as Iran, Kuwait and Qatar, took the exams yesterday, April 15.
The Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exam were administered. Both exams lasted eight hours and were split into a morning and an afternoon session.
Taking either exam is the first step to get licensed as an engineer in the United States. AUS is the first testing center in the UAE and surrounding region that offers the opportunity to take these exams.
"These are very prestigious exams and we are extremely happy to host them here at AUS," said Eleni Papailia, Testing and professional Development Manager. "It's a great opportunity for people who live and work in this part of the world."
