School students from around UAE benefit from IELTS Preparation Course held by AUS
Students from schools around the UAE had the opportunity to benefit from an online IELTS preparation course offered by the Achievement Academy Outreach Program (AAOP) at American University of Sharjah (AUS) recently.
The 30-hour general training course on IELTS tips and strategies was designed to optimize students’ test potential. “The course helped students who are planning to take the IELTS for the first time. They received practice material and personal feedback on IELTS tasks and had the opportunity to take a complete timed practice test to develop their test techniques,” said Lina Hejjawi, Senior Instructor and Outreach Program Manager.
The course was scheduled during the school holiday to ensure that candidates can devote the right amount of time to their instructional sessions.
“The participants showed a desire to learn and a positive mindset that was channeled throughout the course. The course successfully prepared the students for the skills and foresight required for university entrance admission,” said Claire Murphy, Achievement Academy Bridge Program Senior Instructor and IELTS Trainer.
The AAOP continues to provide collaborative opportunities for high school students to acquire knowledge and understanding of international exams in order to improve their chances of university admission.
For the past 12 years, AAOP has been contributing to the future of education in the country by offering language training to members of governments and private institutions to help students, jobseekers and professionals improve their English language skills.
