Sixteen complete Faculty Teaching Certificate Program
The Faculty Development Center at American University of Sharjah (AUS) honored 16 faculty members at the fifth AUS Faculty Teaching Certificate Program held yesterday, May 3. The year-long program is open to all AUS faculty members and teaching staff who are interested in working with colleagues from different colleges to deepen their understanding of teaching excellence.
Dr. Cindy Gunn, Director of the Faculty Development Center, congratulated the faculty members who completed the program and expressed pride at the success the program has garnered over the years.
The recipients of the certificate are Dr. Igor Peraza Curiel from the College of Architecture, Art and Design; Dr. Shahin Ahmed Abdel Naby, Dr. Firas Al-Jubouri, Brad Curabba, Angelina Lynne Davey, Aya El-Sakran and Christopher Horger from the College of Arts and Sciences; Dr. Mahmoud H. Ismail Ibrahim, Dr. Sherif Yehia and Dr. Amer Zakaria from the College of Engineering; Cheryl Bailey Ayogu and Noha Tarek Amer from the School of Business Administration; Walid Alieldin and Frederick Angell, Office of Academic Computing; and Veronica Ramshaw and Rhonda Stricklett, University Library.
Attending the event were Dr. Björn Kjerfve, AUS Chancellor; Kevin Mitchell, Interim Provost; the deans of the four colleges; and other members from the AUS community.
