Students take part in Abu Dhabi Sustainable Business Leadership Forum
Ten students from the Student Leadership Program at American University of Sharjah (AUS) took part in the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Business Leadership Forum on February 18, 2016. The forum was organized by the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Group.
The forum included numerous engaging panel debates on the latest developments in sustainability, extensive sessions and a variety of networking opportunities. The forum attracted a number of executives and experts from the GCC region. The discussion touched on a variety of topics to explore how innovation could offer a more sustainable and resilient economy.
"Attending this forum has changed my view towards the importance of sustainable business practices as the speakers of the forum each emphasized how sustainability could affect the way a business runs," said Mohammed Abdelbary, a freshman student majoring in marketing.
"This event gave our students important insight about business sustainability practices. Today it is essential for businesses to create economic values based on social needs. Businesses need to link their success with social progress within their communities. It is vital for students to learn about these concepts before they enter the job market in order to play a vital role in their companies and societies," said Dr. Moza Al Shehhi, Dean of Students.
