Sultan honors winners of Sharjah Award for the Arab Photo at AUS

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member, Ruler of Sharjah, and President of American University of Sharjah (AUS), attended a special ceremony held to honor the winners of the Sharjah Award for the Arabic Photo, held by the Union of Arab Photographers at the AUS Main Auditorium on April 25.

This year's edition of the award, which saw more than 2,000 entries received from 21 countries, included four themes which were: The Portrait, The Press Investigation, Shutter Speed and Natural.

His Highness also inaugurated a photo exhibition held on the sidelines of the award, and featured the winning entries as well as the works of Arab photographers.

The event was attended by Dr. Björn Kjerfve, AUS Chancellor, heads of government departments and senior university officials and members of the Union of Arab Photographers.
