A team of programmers from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at American University of Sharjah (AUS) have made it to the final stage of the UAE Mobile Government Service Award (m-Government award). The award, launched under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, encourages students to provide creative solutions via smart phone applications.
Four mobile apps out of 94 made it to final stage of the award, with AUS students in the race to win AED 1,000,000.
