"I received this internship through a studio competition during VIS 201, mentored by my professor Hala Al Ani, where we developed branding proposals that prepared me for the Design Mentorship Programme at Jameel Arts Centre. During the internship, I led the redesign and development of the visual identity for the sixth Down to Earth community festival. I conducted in-depth research using the Jameel library, collaborated with multiple departments and designed key collateral along with a comprehensive brand guideline. The experience strengthened my design practice by enhancing my ability to apply research-led thinking to a large-scale event and work within professional workflows."

“"As a marketing alumna from AUS, graduating in June 2024, my journey with L’Oréal began after I came across the L’Oreal Brandstorm Competition at the AUS Career Fair, where I had the opportunity to compete and place third in the UAE finals. That experience sparked my passion for the beauty industry and gave me early exposure to innovation, creativity and strategic thinking. In April 2025, I officially joined L’Oréal Middle East as a Graduate Trainee in the Professional Products Division, working across marketing, e-commerce, and brand activations. Over the past year, I’ve contributed to campaigns, Amazon growth initiatives and regional launches, while building strong commercial and digital marketing experience. Today, I’m excited to begin the next chapter of my journey as I transition into the start of my Management Trainee path, continuing to grow within the company and develop as a future marketing leader.”
~ Khalifa Dzhamaludinov, Marketing
“I’m truly grateful for how the Career Services Center at AUS supported my career journey. I first discovered L’Oréal Brandstorm competition through career events and networking opportunities. Taking part in the competition helped me strengthen my skills and connect with employers. The Career Services Center also supported me in writing my CV and gave me general career advice, which better prepared me and gave me confidence throughout the process. These experiences contributed to my career development and ultimately helped me secure a Graduate Trainee Program role in E-commerce Supply Chain at L’Oréal.”
