The Career Services Office at the College of Arts and Sciences assists undergraduate and graduate students and alumni prepare for future careers that resonate with their skills, strengths, interests and values.
We work with you from the first day you join AUS to help you develop your career plans, explore career pathways, gain work experience and expand your professional networks. Regardless of the major you choose or the degree you earn, career preparation should remain at the forefront of every student’s mind—from the day you start university to the day you get a job offer. Early career planning also ensures that you are ready to take competition head-on, armed with all the skills needed in the world of work.

Internships, Jobs and Other Opportunities |
The AUS Career Portal is a great source for students and alumni to search for jobs and internship opportunities. Students and alumni create their profiles and submit their resumes through the portal. Areej Alamin, junior environmental sciences student, joined the Career Explorer Program. “I found the program very helpful. I learned about my values and explored different career choices that fit my personality by completing two career assessments. I also got the opportunity to participate in the job shadow experience at Sharjah Government Media Bureau, where I look forward to getting an internship this summer.” Dania Al Sheikh, senior mass communication student. “I attended the CAS Career Open Day and had the opportunity to meet many companies. When I spoke with the representatives of Al Arabiya News Channel, I learned what opportunities they are offering. I also attended an information session by Arab media, which was very beneficial for students eager to work in this industry.” |
