Students exhibit their work at Abu Dhabi Art Fair

Students from the American University of Sharjah College of Architecture, Art and Design (CAAD) recently exhibited their designs at the sixth edition of the Abu Dhabi Art Fair, held November 5-8, 2014.

The students, who are all from the Product Design minor in CAAD, worked with a visiting French designer and RAK Ceramics to create unique footstools incorporating ceramic designs.

According to Kevin Badni, Head of the Department of Art and Design, "The students worked extremely hard to not only design but also manufacture their designs. Being able to show their work at the Abu Dhabi Art Fair was a great incentive and privilege for our students."

The student's designs have raised a great deal of interest, including requests for purchasing of the stools from a gallery in Dubai.
