Dr. Alessandro Benati, Professor and Head of the Department of English at American University of Sharjah (AUS), is co-editor of the Cambridge Elements in Second Language Acquisition series, which launched recently.
The series, published by Cambridge University Press, showcases a dynamic and high-quality set of original, concise scholarly works. Cambridge Elements in Second Language Acquisition features a comprehensive home for key topics in SLA which readers can consult for up-to-date coverage. The Elements will be written by leading scholars in the field and will address important questions about key concepts, main research areas and the implications for theory and pedagogy.
Speaking about his new series, Dr. Benati, said:
‘‘The new Cambridge series is a great opportunity to examine and present specific elements in second language acquisition in a clear reader-friendly manner, to identify current and new area of enquiries and to spell out the implications of the research for language learning and teaching.’’
